Nike Refresh Mexico City

Our sneaker-cleaning machine, operating at 2.240 meters altitude. 2025

REFRESH now operates at Nike’s Mexico City flagship store. The system has been adapted with additional drying units, reengineered to perform reliably at the city’s altitude, where air pressure and evaporation behave differently. This marks the first deployment of REFRESH on another continent, extending the pilot beyond earlier circularity initiatives in London and Berlin.

With this step, REFRESH moves from experimental installation to scalable infrastructure. A compact, automated sneaker-cleaning station, designed to work continuously and visibly in-store. To learn more about the machine’s origins and development, see our REFRESH Berlin case study

The REFRESH features different modules for both cleaning and drying, All happening before your own eyes.

As REFRESH expands across regions, the goal remains consistent. Extend the life of products people already own. Normalize care as part of the retail experience. Make circular practices practical, visible, and everyday.

As with most of our special projects, our team travels to install our machines on site and have some fun along the way.
